Design Thinking and Innovation Workshop
This hands-on workshop brings together your cross-functional team to craft innovative product solutions based on user wants and needs. Your team will gain valuable skills for cultivating empathy and creativity. You’ll learn design thinking experientially as we go through an accelerated process to drive ideation and exploration and arrive at a Minimum Viable Product concept.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll create a Product Concept Statement, Storyboard, and Prototype - then test the concept and create a Lean Action Plan to evolve your prototype through the detailed design and development process.
Organizational Strategy and Operations Workshop
This workshop brings together your organizational leaders and guides them through a structure and process to rapidly create plans that take your organization to the next level of maturity. You will leave the workshop with a high-impact organizational strategy to build exceptional teams and exceptional team culture. Through the plans that we create, your team will routinely deliver significant and valuable work. In this workshop, we will create statements of organizational Mission, Vision, and Values. We will then create focused action plans aligned with measurable goals. We will jointly create a customized system for defining estimable and manageable work and ensuring accountability. Using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), you will be able to operationalize your plans to get things done and achieve extraordinary results.

Development Workshop
How do you make agile methods work for experience design? How do you make experience design methods work in an agile context? This workshop coaches your team through proven best practices you can use to integrate the disciplines of experience design (including user research, accessibility, and more) into your agile methodology – regardless of whether you’re using Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, or other agile frameworks. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll create an integrated and aligned process that works for your organization. You’ll learn proven approaches to get designers and developers working effectively and efficiently together as one team to get better business results and deliver software faster at any scale.
Understanding Human-Computer
Interaction Workshop
This two-day workshop gives you the equivalent knowledge of a one-semester survey course drawn from my experience teaching human-systems engineering as a guest lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and faculty member of the University of Minnesota and Arizona State University. The workshop is intended for designers, researchers, developers, product owners, product managers, and anyone involved in the creation of software products for web, mobile, or other technologies.
You’ll learn the essential theories, models, and frameworks needed to create human-centered products.
The workshop includes an introduction to key topics in human-computer interaction, such as Basic Human Factors, Interaction and Cognition, Decision Making and Errors, and Gamification. You’ll also work through hands-on activities for experiential learning to better understand Signal Detection Theory, Human Performance Modeling, Human Emotion, Social Computing, and Teamwork.
Note that this workshop uses a “flipped classroom” approach and requires reading and other study prior to the workshop.
